Aqua Nebulae

The artist creates these images using river water drawn from around her Thames houseboat. Experimenting with closely guarded ingredients, Lyndsay gently guides the materials by hand as they are rocked by the river’s natural undulations.

In this body of work, the artist explores how gravity waves in space echo those on Earth, forming what she calls Aqua Nebulae — fluid constellations that mirror cosmic phenomena.
Each piece becomes an unrepeatable collaboration between artist, boat and river.
